It seems like every day I read about how government wastes money so I thought I would record them. Since I began this blog, I have been stunned by the amount of waste, fraud, and mismanagement I have found. I recognize that some government is necessary for any society to exist but without the "profit incentive" that we have in private enterprise, government continues to grow like a cancer and along with it the potential for abuse. List of Government Waste: $788,595,076,947

The Fiscal Times put together the following list which summarizes a lot of the waste that has been posted to this blog. When a new report identifies wasteful spending, someone always tends to say, “it’s a mere $600 million or it’s only $1 billion—a rounding error” compared to the $3.8 trillion that makes up the Federal budget. However, as Senator Everett Dirksen once said “a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money”.
